Stonehenge
Standing stones in full circle,
at the break of dawn we hail,
at midsummer and samhain,
we raise our hands to
the God of the Sun and
Mother of the Earth,
for these days are mid
and end of the year...

Woman
For what is most desirable in a woman,
is it looks? is it her physical body?
or is the mind and the soul
that is hidden deep within,
for a woman with knowledge is a treasure,
a woman who loves passionately
through her actions or words is rare
for if you look deep within her soul,
you find a treasure for the world to see.

Where Art Thou?
Oh love of my life, where art thou?
for your touch is all I crave,
your kisses excite me,
they make me dizzy with love,
I am a young girl in your arms,
full of laughter and cheer,
but when you are away,
I search for you always,
Just one word, just one glance
from you takes my breath from me
Oh love of my life, where art thou?
for your touch is all I crave,
your kisses excite me,
they make me dizzy with love,

Roses are Red
For if roses are red,
then love is sweet,
but as roses die,
once pluck from the vine,
thorns pierce and
my heart feels pain,
for love has wilted
and surely dies
For if roses are red,
then love is sweet,
but as roses die,
once pluck from the vine,
thorns pierce and
my heart feels pain,
for love has wilted
and surely dies
The Cup
from porcelain made from the flames of fire,
to hold the essences of our morning,
to sip, to taste, to enjoy,
for when we awake, from our nightly slumber
and yawn from that period of rest we desire,
steam rises and our senses awaken,
to taste the bitterness it holds
from porcelain made from the flames of fire,
to hold the essences of our morning,
to sip, to taste, to enjoy,
for when we awake, from our nightly slumber
and yawn from that period of rest we desire,
steam rises and our senses awaken,
to taste the bitterness it holds
Our Lives
As we walk along the beach in the glare
of the late afternoon rays of the sun,
we walk and quietly talk of our lives,
what we want for the future and
how it was of the past,
you stop me and smile at me
with your eyes aglow and
ask me that one quiet question
and tears stream from my eyes
as I smile and say yes,
the tiny box appeared and
in it held the white shine of the stone
atop a golden band,
for of this moment and
until death do we part,
I will love you forever.

The Beauty of Things
The beauty of things I desire,
are the things that are soft and unspoken,
the soft touch of fingers against your hand,
a small smile as I look into your brown eyes,
a kiss at an unexpected moment,
just to know that you are there with me,
that you hold my heart as I hold yours
and to be as one in mind and spirit.
The Poem
[ takes a pencil and paper and writes
"On a hazy day of summer,
as I look across the shimmering lake
and see a couple of butterflies
dancing on the wind,
I feel the heat if sun through
the leaves of tree on my face,
I feel the kiss of the wind
across my cheek and the rustle
of the grass as it blows,
On the lake I see two swans swimming in unison
and with their long necks they interweave.
What a beautiful sight for my eyes this day
as I think of the man who loves me
as we walk on those warm nights
linked arm and arm, gazing into each others eyes.
Just the quiet sound of the cricket chirping
and the crisp breeze of the wind"

Teddy Bear
Soft and cuddly for a child you were made,
of cloth and foam, to keep him safe from storms,
to tell secrets at night, to imagine a cup of tea,
but you were made for someone who loves
you deeply to be kept close to your heart.
